Nico Costa, born in Bologna, started his career as a chef in 1961 attending a three-year course at "Istituto alberghiero" of Stresa (No). After several years of experience, gained working together with many famous chefs in many European and American restaurant, he decided to open his own Restaurant Battibecco in 1979.
